Rising 37 stories high into the New York City skyline, the micro-room, macro-amenity hotel features 349 rooms flooded with natural light and designed with intelligence—and a touch of wit. The building’s architecture honors the neighborhood with its industrial façade and soaring, greenhouse-style atrium. Four brand-new dining and drinking concepts by TAO Group and Francesco Panella, of the legendary Antica Pesa in Rome, include a ristorante, caffè, pasticceria, and a cocktail bar and lounge offering a gourmet take on Italian street food. Topping off the hotel is a glass-enclosed rooftop lounge with expansive views that stretch from the Statue of Liberty to the Empire State Building. Moxy Chelsea marks the second collaboration between Yabu Pushelberg and Rockwell Group, the designers behind Moxy Times Square.

Guests enter the hotel through an abundantly overgrown flower shop, alongside a pasticceria and café, and a lively indoor/outdoor ristorante that infuse timeless Italian elegance with a modern sensibility.

The second floor blends numerous live/work/play spaces designed to transform over the course of the day, including a cocktail bar offering a gourmet take on Italian street food, meeting studios, co-working lounge, lushly planted conservatory, and a garden terrace featuring a Neapolitan style pizza oven and made-for-Moxy bocce drinking game.

At 435 feet about the ground, on the 35th floor, a rooftop lounge is encased in glass to showcase panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline. The intimate space is sure to draw an eclectic crowd, lured by lush interiors that reference the Flower District, a creative cocktail list, and stunning views. The real showstopper: The lounge’s glass walls descend at the touch of a button, transforming the space into an alfresco sky veranda.
